Lands and Environment

The Lands and Environment Department works to protect and preserve the land, waters, and cultural heritage of Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug. Its primary goal is to ensure that the traditional lands, values, and way of life of KI are recognized, maintained, and respected for future generations. The department oversees stewardship, monitoring, and land use planning in a way that reflects KI’s connection to the land and its responsibility to care for it.
